Pacers sign Jones, McKinney-Jones
The Pacers announced Thursday the signings of F DeQuan Jones and G Trey McKinney-Jones to contracts. The two former undrafted free agents from the University of Miami have played internationally the last three seasons.

The Lakers responded in a statement to being fined $500,000 by the NBA for violating the league's anti-tampering rule. "We respect and accept the NBA's decision regarding this matter," said Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, who was found to have had prohibited contact with Paul George's agent while George was still under contract with the Indiana Pacers. "On behalf of the Los Angeles Lakers, I want to express our regret over this unfortunate incident to both our fans and the NBA." Adam Streisand, a member of the Lakers' outside counsel, noted in the statement, ""The Lakers organization is pleased that this thorough investigation has been brought to a close – and we can assure the fans that the Lakers will be hyper-vigilant going forward to make sure this is never an issue again."

The Indiana Pacers signed F Alex Poythress to a two-way contract. The former Kentucky standout averaged averaged 10.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in six games with the Philadelphia 76ers. He spent the majority of the season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the G League.
