Hill to Bucks, Dellavedova to Cavs in 3-team deal

The Bucks, Cavaliers and Wizards finalized a deal Friday that gives Milwaukee veteran guard George Hill and clears its books in the short-term future in a five-player trade.

The tax bill in Washington will drop from $14.49M to $9.79M by swapping out the $5.45M Jason Smith contract for the $2.76M Sam Dekker salary. The Wizards will also create a $5.45M trade exception. Both players are in the last year of their contract.

The contract of George Hill has a $19M cap hit for this season. Only $1M of his $18M contract for 2019-20 is guaranteed. The full amount will be guaranteed if Hill is not waived by July 1. Here is where things get interesting for Milwaukee in 2019-20. Including the FA Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon cap hold, Milwaukee could have up to $27M room in cap space. However, Milwaukee would need to renounce point guard Eric Bledsoe and waive George Hill for room to be available.

Khris Middleton, who missed Wednesday's game for personal reasons, will be available for the Bucks game against the Warriors tonight, a league source told ESPN.

Khris Middleton's absence last night (personal reasons) was unrelated to his benching last week, a source said. He will likely participate in one-on-one practices today and return to the Bucks line up tomorrow.
