Joel Embiid on getting into it with Carmelo Anthony: "He just said something like 'Don't do this with me' or something like that. I'm like, 'dude, you're not going to do anything.' ... Guys in the league, I mean, I can't remember the last time someone actually threw a punch at somebody, so I'm not worried about anybody. I've seen that a lot all over the place, about people talking about people coming back at me; I'm African, so don't try me."

In the wildest game of the NBA season so far, the Thunder held off the 76ers in triple-overtime, 119-117. It was a long road getting to a final score, with it starting with the Thunder not scoring a point in the final 5:23 of regulation to blow a nine-point lead, then coming back from five down with a minute left in the first overtime, then Andre Roberson missed a point blank layup, but came back and finished his do-over at the end of the third overtime. Westbrook was terrific and terrible all at once, with a triple-double that included 23 missed shots. In the end, OKC gets back to .500 and wins their sixth out eight.

ESPN Stats and Information

Russell Westbrook finished with 27 points, 18 rebounds and 15 assists against the Sixers. It's just the 2nd time in the last 30 seasons a player had at least 25 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a game (James Harden 53-16-17 last season)

The Thunder went down five in overtime with a minute left, but Paul George hit a big 3, then Westbrook finished a layup in transition to tie it up. After a stop, Joel Embiid pinned Westbrook's game-winning layup attempt on the backboard, and Dario Saric missed at the buzzer. To double overtime we go.

Overtime in Philly. The Thunder led by nine with 3:03 remaining, but didn't score a single point in the final 5:23 of regulation. Within that, Westbrook missed two dunks and a layup. On the final possession, OKC looked for Melo, but the Sixers sent a hard trap and he kicked to Paul George for a long 3 that he missed wide.

Maybe it's back being on the East Coast, but Carmelo Anthony is working on his best game this season with the Thunder. In 11 minutes he's got 13 points on 6-7 shooting, and is anchoring the second unit, setting good screens and making great passes.

OKC's offense is as sharp as it's looked in two weeks in these opening minutes against the Sixers. Great looks for Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, and most importantly, they went in. Which has been maybe the biggest part of the problem for them lately.
