With five guys competing for that last spot on the roster, here's what Gregg Popovich about his timeline for a decision on cuts: "We've got tonight, and maybe three good practices next week and a game. So I don't have any plan right now to let guys go unless there are guys who need a decision because another team wants them, or maybe a European team wants them. Then, we will adjust that and do what is right for them, and make the decision quicker. But now, I don't feel any of that kind of pressure."

Here's what Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said about dealing with the loss of Dwyane Wade and how it compares to Tim Duncan in San Antonio: "We're just in the beginning stages of it. With both franchises we've have had such continuity with front office and coaching staffs at least you have that continuity and culture to fall back on. Does it make it easy? No. It's always difficult when there's change. We've had a lot in 22 years and that's this business. You have to move on and focus on the team that you have. We're excited about this group. We know we have a lot of work to do but I've been encouraged so far."
