The $260 million arena opened in 2005 as Charlotte Bobcats Arena before Time Warner Cable bought naming rights. The arena has the largest video screen of any indoor arena in the country (38 feet high by 36 feet wide), according to the arena website. A unique feature of the scoreboard is a cityscape, displaying the Charlotte skyline. The arena also has incorporated the theme, "A Celebration of Gathering," and encourages conversation along its open terraces, walkways and other public areas.

I-77 from the north or south: Exit at either John Belk Freeway (I-277) or Trade Street.
Brookshire Freeway (I-277) from the west: Exit at either I-77 South or Brevard Street.
NC 49/US 29 from the northeast: Follow Tryon Street to Uptown, Charlotte Bobcats Arena is one block east of the intersection of Trade and Tryon streets.
Airport: Follow Josh Birmingham Parkway 1.5 miles to Billy Graham Parkway South. Proceed on Billy Graham to I-77 North. Exit at either John Belk Freeway (I-277) or Trade Street.
There are about 30,000 parking spaces available to visitors within about a 15-minute walk of the Time Warner Cable Arena. The prices vary from lot to lot. To avoid traffic and parking payments, consider mass transit options.
The arena is located near Charlotte's main bus terminal and the arena has stops on the CATS, otherwise known as the Charlotte Area Transit System.
