LeBron James 10-17 FG | 1-3 FT | 11 REB | 9 AST | 21 PTS | +0
GRADEA-

Dagger jumper with 13 seconds left. As expected, LeBron James shifted into an extra gear with Dwyane Wade sitting out with a cold and James flirted with a triple-double yet again, even after a scary collision with Josh Smith late in the second quarter sent James to the locker room with an apparent knee bruise. But James came back in a big way.

Mario Chalmers 5-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 3 AST | 12 PTS | +0
GRADEB-

Normally when the Heat cough up the ball, the source of the blame falls on Chalmers. Not this time. Chalmers came alive in the second half and provided steady floor orchestration. Whatever he did this offseason to become a pure point guard, it is working. Although Jeff Teague had his way with Chalmers.

Chris Bosh 7-13 FG | 10-10 FT | 5 REB | 2 AST | 24 PTS | +7
GRADEA-

Heat closer? Bosh was huge down the stretch, though he must've experienced some flashbacks from last season's three-overtime marathon once James hobbled off the court. Thankfully for Miami, James returned no worse for wear. Bosh spread the floor and pounded the paint as usual, but he didn't attack the boards with the aggression the Heat needed with Wade out. They won anyway.

Ray Allen 6-12 FG | 2-2 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 17 PTS | +2
GRADEA-

Almost a costly traveling violation late. It may be a surprise to some that Allen didn't get the starting nod in Wade's place, but Erik Spoelstra likes keeping the rotation in tact as much as possible. Nonetheless, Allen caught fire early, nailing two 3-pointers early in the first quarter and kept it going from there. The Heat signed Allen for shooting, but his playmaking ices the cake.

Atlanta Hawks
GRADEB+

What a wild finish. A breakout performance from Anthony Morrow. Anthony Morrow! He carried the Hawks early and the hometown team took advantage of Wade's absence. Jeff Teague was an efficiency marvel on Friday, but it wasn't enough to compensate for Smith's dud. The Zaza Pachulia-versus-Udonis Haslem feud was a nice bonus.
