Wade warmed up at Oracle Arena in pregame and was cleared to play by the Heat's training staff to face the Golden State Warriors. He will likely play limited minutes in his return.
The Heat have another game Wednesday night in Los Angeles against the Clippers and the team is expected to be cautious because the last time Wade played in a back-to-back he suffered a setback with the injury.
"It's not a debilitating injury, but it is something that could linger if it is not taken care of," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "We want to be patient."
