Matt Price

Right-handed pitcher | South Carolina

I'm not sure there's been a better big-game pitcher than Price over the course of the past few seasons. Like teammate Michael Roth, he seems to save his best for the biggest stage, as Price has gone 4-0 with two saves during the Gamecocks' last two College World Series runs. Those two saves came in the two wins over Florida to clinch last season's second championship. As if the steely glare from the mound or the 75 strikeouts in 59 innings thrown weren't intimidating enough, right?

2011 stats: 7-3 W-L, 1.83 ERA, 20 saves, .213 OBA
