Jr. Brian Bogusevic hadn't played the field much because of a slightly pulled hamstring, but returned to the field for the final two games of the series, going 3-for-8 with three steals.

Notes: Jr. LHPs Ricky Romero and Ryan Schreppel continued their dominance, with Romero dealing 13 strikeouts and allowing five hits and a walk over seven shutout innings against Oklahoma after Schreppel struck out eight Nevada batters over eight scoreless frames earlier Saturday. Soph. 1B Brett Pill collected 11 hits in 20 at-bats on the week and has at least one hit in all 13 games this year to help build a .431 average. The Titans bullpen has allowed one run in its last 14.2 innings.

DH Jon Willard extended his hitting streak to 10 games with five hits in three games to raise his team-best average to .500.

Sr. LHP Lane Mestepey earned the win Friday (5.2 IP, 7 H, 3 R, BB, 8 K) and needs six more to tie for the LSU career record.

Notes: Earning a series win against Villanova was a battle, and credit the Wildcats. Sr. RHP Nick Allen held Florida to an unearned run on five hits and a walk Friday, a week after throwing a seven-inning no-hitter. It marked the worst loss at home for Florida since 1993. The Gators then needed four runs in the seventh Saturday to overcome a 5-2 deficit and four consecutive walks in the 10th inning Sunday to escape with a win. Jr. RHP Darren O'Day threw two scoreless innings for a save Saturday before getting a win Sunday with 2.1 more scoreless frames. Sr. CF Jeff Corsaletti batted .417 in the 'Nova series and has hit in six straight games. Soph. 2B Adam Davis homered from both sides of the plate Tuesday.

Miami native Jonathan Diaz, NC State's Soph. SS, homered and drove home a career-best four runs Saturday.

RHPs Chance Corgan and Jordan Chambless combined for eight shutout innings against Texas State. Pennington went 5-for-5 with a homer, four steals and five runs in sweeping Evansville, while Sr. C Justin Poulk went 6-for-6.

Two Texas errors in the second inning Saturday helped Arizona score seven times, and Jr. 1B Jordan Brown drove in three runs. He has a 17-game hit streak, while Sr. OF Jeff Van Houten has hit in 23 straight.

Jr. OF Bobby Felmy collected five hits, including a homer, in the first two games before getting just one Sunday. The reason the bats stopped Sunday? ECU Jr. LHP Jeff Ostrander, who allowed two hits over 7.1 shutout innings while striking out seven. Closer Will Startup earned the win Friday, entering early to quell a second-inning rally and working 5.2 scoreless innings.

FSU's staff holds a 2.21 ERA, including a 4-0, 0.63 mark by Tyler Chambless, who has five saves.

Soph. RHP Jonah Nickerson struck out seven and allowed an unearned run in 6.1 innings Sunday but got a no decision as the Beavs used five in the eighth to get the win. The team ERA stands at 2.05 and the staff has allowed more than three runs three times.

Chad Huffman hit two homers in the game, but the winning run scored on an error. Jr. CF Ryan Pack drove in two with an 11th-inning single Friday to help TCU rebound from a 7-6 deficit. Jr. RHP Lance Broadway allowed a run over seven innings and struck out 10 in that one, getting a no decision. Fr. RHP Sam Demel struck out eight batters over seven innings Saturday, allowing a run on five hits.
