Harrington's complete game helps Rainbows

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Hawaii junior Ian Harrington pitched a
complete game Saturday afternoon to help the Rainbows to a 5-3 win
against Wright State in the NCAA Corvallis Regional.
Robbie Wilder was 2 for 3 with a home run for Hawaii (44-16),
which advances to play on Sunday against the loser of the night
game between host Oregon State and Kansas.
Aaron Garcia was 2-for-4 with a home run for Wright State
(32-27), which was -eliminated from the tournament.
Harrington allowed three earned runs on six hits to pick up his
ninth win of the season. He struck out three and walked none.
Wright State didn't get its first hit against Harrington until
the fifth inning, and didn't advance a runner past second base
until the seventh.
Hawaii scored first on an RBI triple by Derek DuPree in the
third. Justin Frash, the next batter, brought DuPree home on a
sacrifice fly.
The Rainbows made it 3-0 in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Luis
Avila. Teammate Matt Inouye followed with a run-scoring double.
Wilder's sixth-inning home run, his second of the season, made it
Wright State got a run back in the seventh on an RBI groundout
by Justin Wilson. Garcia added the Raiders' final runs on an
one-out two-run homer, his fourth, with one out in the ninth.
Wright State starting pitcher Erich Schanz (6-4) took the loss.
He struck out seven.
DuPree was 3-for-4 with a triple for Hawaii, which bounced back
from a 9-6 loss to Kansas Friday.
