Michigan eliminates Stetson on Day 2 of tourney

ATLANTA -- Eric Rose and Nate Regnagel drove in three runs
apiece, Paul Hammond (8-4) pitched a six-hitter and Michigan
eliminated Stetson.
The Wolverines (43-20) were the better-rested team, and it
showed. They opened the tournament Friday afternoon with a loss to
Vanderbilt, while Stetson's game against host Georgia Tech was
rained out.
The Hatters (38-24) returned Saturday morning to face the Yellow
Jackets, who held on for a 7-5 victory. Less than an hour later,
Stetson was back on the field for an elimination game against the
Wolverines, who jumped ahead with four runs in the second and put
it out of reach with a five-run sixth.
Stetson starter Chris Ingoglia (6-2) was roughed up for 10 hits
in 5 1-3 innings, though only five of the nine runs he surrendered
were earned.
