MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Peter LeBlanc scored 45 seconds into overtime to give third-seeded New Hampshire a 6-5 comeback victory over North Dakota on Saturday in the NCAA hockey Northeast Regional.
New Hampshire tied it with a tenth of a second left in regulation. With goalie Brian Foster off for an extra attacker, Thomas Fortney poked a shot past North Dakota goalie Brad Eidsness to force overtime.
In overtime, Jerry Pollastrone led a 2-on-1 break into the Sioux zone, slid a perfect pass to LeBlanc in the high slot, and LeBlanc blasted a one-timer past Eidsness' glove for his second goal of the game.
Pollastrone, Mike Sislo and Greg Collins also scored, and Foster made 40 saves for the Wildcats (20-12-5), set to play top-seeded Boston University in the regional final. Boston University beat Ohio State 8-3.
Chris VandeVeld scored twice, and Jason Gregoire, Brad Malone and Ryan Duncan added goals for the Sioux (24-15-4).
