Di Poalo sticking with the Trojans

With offensive line being such a position of need during this recruiting cycle, the new USC coaching staff knew it needed to hang onto committed St. Bonaventure offensive lineman Giovanni Di Poalo during his official visit this past weekend.

After scheduling an official visit to Oregon while the USC coaching situation was in flux, Di Poalo (6-4, 260) is back on board with the Trojans, according to St. Bonaventure head coach Todd Therrien.

"He's a USC commit," Therrien said Tuesday morning.

"We weren't in school yesterday, but I talked to him today and he's here wearing a USC sweatshirt," Therrien said.

Therrien also added that Di Poalo has canceled the visit to Oregon and will sign with the Trojans next Wednesday.

"When all that coaching stuff was up in the air, he was up in the air," Therrien said. "But he's back with USC now."

Di Poalo is currently the only pure offensive lineman in the Trojans' 2010 recruiting class. The No. 38-ranked offensive guard by ESPN is expected to play center during his USC career.
