Will the Tide add another Milliner?

Alabama's got his brother. It's got his heart. One question remains: Will it get him?

Alabama certainly wants him.

Although Pat Milliner (Millbrook, Ala./Stanhope Elmore) hasn't received any offers yet, the standout prospect is receiving plenty of letters from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Southern Miss, Florida State and Vanderbilt. He got his first letter from Tennessee Friday.

Milliner's four leaders right now, he said, are Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Southern Miss. He stopped short of naming one favorite, but it's hard not to think the Crimson Tide doesn't have at least a slight edge over the rest of the field.

Not only did Milliner grow up a Tide fan but his older brother, DeMarcus, just signed with Alabama two days ago.

"I've always loved Alabama because I'm a fan, but just because Alabama was the best fit for DeMarcus doesn't mean it will be the best fit for me," he said late Friday afternoon.

Pat said he attended several Alabama games with his brother last season and plans on going to more next season. His most trip to Tuscaloosa came last weekend when he attended Alabama's Junior Day.

"It was amazing," he said. "It wasn't just the sports part but the academics part, too."

Pat plans on attending an Auburn Junior Day and then hit camps at Alabama, Auburn and Southern Miss over the summer.

"I like LSU, too," Pat said. "I wouldn't mind playing for them either."

Pat said he plans to wait until after his senior season next fall to make his decision.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder stars at running back in high school but is projected to switch to receiver in college. It's a move Pat is already looking forward to.

"I would love it," he said. "I would like it a lot. That's what I feel I'm better at."

So how would Pat compare himself athletically with his older brother?

"We're both fast," said Pat, who runs a 4.37 40.

The younger Milliner likes DeMarcus' chances of starting next fall as a true freshman. But whether he starts or not, Pat said he's just looking forward to seeing him in that Alabama uniform.

"It's going to be awesome," he said. "It's my favorite team, and he's going to be on the roster. Maybe he'll be on the video game, too."
