Kohl's Texas camps recap

As the Kohl's staff traveled through the talent-rich state of Texas, we saw many kickers, punters, and snappers looking to get ready for the all important spring recruiting period. Here is a quick look at who stood out.

• Andrew Dunn from Huntsville, Ala., showed FBS potential with his kickoffs and overall leg speed. He is a soccer player who has a rare ability to strike a football.

• At the Austin camp, Colin McGuire from Austin, Texas and Ty Williams from San Antonio, Texas showed they have a lot of potential. McGuire was consistently hitting kicks that would have been good from 50-55 yards away. The ball jumps off his foot and he could become a special kicker. Williams hit one kick off that went 70 yards and had 3.80 seconds of hang time. Plus, his field goal consistency improved as the day went on.

• 2013 snapper Kaleb Smith from Aledo, Texas showed good ability and has a good frame that will allow him to add weight in the future.

• Luc Swinberghe, a 2013 kicker from Lindale High School in Tyler, Texas, opened up some eyes by hitting multiple 55-yard field goals throughout camp off the ground. He is going to be someone to watch for the years to come. His frame and overall rhythm are impressive and may have had his best camp to date.

• Lee Seungjae, a 2013 kicker from Fayetteville, Ark., showed he is one of the better kickers in the 2013 class. He even made a 57-yard field goal to win the field goal competition at camp.

• Harrison Flynt, a 2012 kicker from St. Louis Catholic High School in Louisiana, showed the leg strength on field goals to be special. He does need refinement to maximize his potential.

• Joe Figenshaw, a 2012 punter from Sugarland, Texas, showed he is an FBS prospect. He was able to hit consistent spirals throughout the camp.

• Jack Stead from Katy, Texas, also showed good college potential at camp. His long frame and overall athletic ability will draw a lot of interest from college recruiters in the months to come.

• Daniel Brooke, a 2012 snapper from Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas, showed some college potential as a snapper.

• Andrew Smith, a 2012 kicker from Sugarland, Texas and 2012 kicker Tanner Graeber from League City, Texas were very impressive during the kickoff competition and kickoff charting session. They both hit multiple kicks over 70 yards and showed college-level leg strength.
