top prep basketball prospects in the nation, will attend Duke, he
The 6-foot-9, 220-pound senior had also considered Kansas and
Singler averaged 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds last season and
South Medford High School was runner-up in the Class 4A state
He announced his decision to play for Hall of Fame coach Mike
Krzyzewski and the Blue Devils in South Medford's gym, an event
that was attended by his family, teammates and fellow students.
His decision is not official until Nov. 8, the first day of the
early signing period.
Singler is South Medford's leading scorer with 1,339 points
after just three seasons. With him, the Panthers are 78-11 with
three Southern Oregon Conference titles.
Singler and friend Kevin Love of Lake Oswego drew a great deal
of recruiting attention to Oregon. Love, also considered a top
prospect, announced this summer he will play for UCLA.
