Top-seeded Duke, Connecticut, LSU and Arizona State will host regionals of the 25th NIT Season Tip-Off.
The pairings for the 16-team field were announced Wednesday by the tournament's Selection Committee, which is chaired by C.M. Newton.
The regionals will get under way Nov. 16, with the first-round winners meeting the next day. The four regional winners advance to the semifinals on Nov. 25 at New York's Madison Square Garden. The championship game is Nov. 27.
Duke opens its regional against Coastal Carolina with Charlotte facing Elon.
Connecticut takes on Colgate in the first round and Hofstra plays Yale.
LSU faces Indiana State to open its regional, while Western Kentucky goes against Milwaukee.
Arizona State plays Texas State in the first round and TCU faces Cal State-Northridge.
The Duke and Arizona State regional winners will face in one semifinal, while the winners from Connecticut and LSU meet in the other.
After the second round, the 12 teams not going to New York will play two more rounds of games on the home courts of the three highest remaining seeds.
Duke has won the NIT Season Tip-Off three times, the inaugural event in 1985, 2000 and 2005, and is the only former champion in the field.
The first tournament saw three of its semifinal teams (Louisville, Duke, Kansas) go on to reach the NCAA Final Four. St. John's was the fourth team in New York in November, while LSU was the fourth team in Dallas in March.
The tournament is sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods.
