Oklahoma's average projected NCAA tournament seed, per BPI, depending on tonight's result vs Kansas... If Oklahoma wins: 5.9 If Oklahoma loses: 7.0

Jeff Borzello ESPN Staff Writer

Kansas State gave itself an uphill climb with a non-conference SOS somewhere in the 330s and zero top-100 non-conference wins — yet the Wildcats are building an at-large resume anyway. Now 5-3 in the league with wins over Oklahoma, TCU and at Baylor.

Very big win tonight for Virginia Tech at home. Had the Hokies lost to the Tar Heels their tournament chances would have been down to 11 percent per BPI. With the win that number rises to 26 percent.

Baylor is in a similar must-win situation hosting Kansas State. The Bears, like TCU, risk falling to 2-6 in the Big 12 with a loss tonight. Teams do recover from that kind of conference deficit, but not very often. K-State, meanwhile, has won three of four and sits just two spots out of the latest NCAA projection.

Joe Lunardi Senior Writer, ESPN.com

Huge game tonight for TCU. As good as they were in starting 12-0, the Horned Frogs still have to win some Big 12 games. A loss to WVU would drop them to 2-6 in the conference, and only one team has ever reached the NCAAs as an at-large that far under .500 in league play.
