BYU knocks off No. 1 and previously undefeated Gonzaga 79-71. The ViewFromVegas is the Cougars did it as 20.5-point road underdogs and +1350 on the money line (offered at the South Point; most Vegas books didn't bother with a money line). Gonzaga had done a great job all year covering big spreads but dipped to 20-6-1 ATS.

ESPN Stats and Information

Gonzaga has six losses at home in the last three seasons, and three have been to BYU. The Cougars joined Saint Mary's and Memphis as the only teams to beat Gonzaga multiple times on the Bulldogs' home court under Mark Few (since 1999-2000).

BYU not going anywhere. While Nigel Williams-Goss was complaining about a non-call, Nick Emery nails his second straight 3-pointer. Mark it down, Emery-Mika-Haws combo will have Cougars in top 25 next season

LaVar Ball cleared up confusion to ESPN about being misquoted by radio station about comments on Lonzo only playing for Lakers: "All I said was that my boy is going to play for the Lakers, and I'm going to speak it into existence," LaVar told ESPN on Saturday night. "I want him to be a Laker, but I wasn't saying he's only going to play for the Lakers. I'm not trying to say he won't play for a different team. But I'd like him to play for the Lakers because it's home and I'd love him to learn from Magic (Johnson) He's the best guard ever to me, and nobody better for Lonzo to learn from than Magic Johnson."

Just a reminder: Less than a year ago, someone flew a plane over Westwood with a "Fire Steve Alford" sign trailing behind it. Talk about your all time backfires.
