Interesting dynamic in Palmetto State these days. When I covered Coastal Carolina in College World Series both Clemson & South Carolina fans said they were rooting for Chanticleers. When I covered Clemson in CFP title game, a more-than-expected number of South Carolina fans admitted they'd pull for the Tigers over Bama. But after four days of asking every Clemson fan I see if they'll support the Gamecocks in the Final Four it's been a nearly unanimous "Hell no."

Great anecdote former Gonzaga coach Dan Monson told me recently. He was married by Mark Few's father, a longtime preacher. Mark Few was already married to his wife, Marcy. Monson was about to marry a woman named Darci. Reverend Few mistakenly asked Monson, "will you take Marcy to be your wife?" Monson replied, "No, but if it's OK, I'll take Darcy."
