ESPN Stats and Information

Oregon won the very first national championship in 1939. The Ducks are finally back in the Final Four after 78 years.

Joe Lunardi Senior Writer, ESPN.com

Like the 1972 Dolphins, the 2008 Final Four remains the only "perfect" bracket in which all the No. 1 seeds advanced. The most we can have now is two -- Gonzaga and perhaps North Carolina.

Tournament Challenge ESPN

Kansas, just eliminated by Oregon, was picked to win the national title in 11 percent of the 18.7 million brackets.

Dave Tuley ESPN Staff Writer

Oregon beats Kansas 74-60 to advance to Final Four. The ViewFromVegas is the Ducks did it as 6.5-point underdogs and +300 on the money line. Oregon was the 5-1 third choice at the Westgate SuperBook to win the Midwest Regional.

Andy Katz ESPN Senior Writer

So much for home advantage too. Kansas in Kansas City for Big 12 or NCAA was no lock.

Dana Altman's first big job was at Kansas State. Beating Kansas to get to the final four has to be sweet

Andy Katz ESPN Senior Writer

Fitting that the first Final Four in the West since 1995 --- in Seattle which was won by a team from the West (UCLA) -- now has two teams from the West in Gonzaga and Oregon. This should be very entertaining.

Will definitely be stories about Dylan Ennis missing out on Villanova's run to Final Four. Getting to go now. Delayed gratification.

No. 3 seed Oregon pulls off the stunner with a 74-60 win over No. 1 seed Kansas in the Midwest Regional to advance to its first Final Four since winning the first ever tournament in 1939.

What a day for Oregon basketball: men upset Kansas to advance to Final Four, women upset Maryland to get to Elite Eight.
