South Carolina has now lost four of five. Not saying the Gamecocks are in serious bubble trouble or anything (remember, three of their losses came without Sindarius Thornwell) -- but their resume isn't exactly overwhelming. There's a win over Florida and ... not much else. Having nine wins against teams 51-100 in the RPI makes it a look a little better than it really is. Winning at least two of their final three could ease some concerns.

Clemson is now one game above .500 overall and 4-11 in the ACC. Close losses/solid metrics are nice, but they need to sweep the rest of the regular season.

LSU just lost at home to Auburn by 23. That's 14 straight losses for Johnny Jones' crew. Eleven of the 14 losses were by 12 or more points.

And Purdue ... survives. Every Big Ten coach has a Bryce Jordan Center horror story. Weird things happen in that building.

Caleb Swanigan has to kick that back out when he sees the double.

South Carolina is really counting on wins over Cuse, Michigan and Florida to make its case for a tournament berth. Gamecocks have played like a tourney team in stretches but lack an overwhelming case. But a sweep of Florida would help.

ESPN Stats and Information

Purdue's Caleb Swanigan has 23 double doubles this season. The last player with more was Julius Randle for Kentucky in 2013-14.

Having clinched its 1st .500 or better Big Ten season since 2004 & 2nd since 1968, N'western is at Illinois Tue., trying to avenge a loss in Evanston & reach 21 wins for the 1st time. Their only L was 35-28 at home vs. the Illini, after a 29-27 road W.
