In Thursday's 126-98 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the Phoenix Suns fielded the youngest starting lineup in NBA history, with an average age of 21 years, 14 days. That starting lineup was younger than every NCAA team playing in the Sweet 16 on Thursday except Purdue.

ESPN's BPI gives a slight edge to Kentucky in this Sweet 16 battle Friday night (9:39 p.m. ET). This will be the third meeting in the NCAA tournament between the two legendary programs, with the winner going on to win the national title the previous two times.

According to ESPN's BPI, the Gators have a 66 percent chance to beat Wisconsin in Friday night's (9:59 p.m. ET) Sweet 16 matchup, but don't sleep on the Badgers. Wisconsin is the only team to appear in the Sweet 16 in each of the past four NCAA tournaments.

ESPN's BPI gives Baylor north of a 70 percent chance to beat South Carolina in Friday's Sweet 16 matchup (7:29 p.m. ET). The Gamecocks' tournament run has been propelled by strong second-half play. South Carolina scored a school-record 65 points in the second half against Duke.

ESPN's BPI gives North Carolina a 76 percent chance to advance to the Elite 8 Friday night (7:09 p.m. ET) when they take on Butler. The Tar Heels are 12-1 in the Sweet 16 as a number one seed, including 11 straight wins.

Although Gonzaga and Xavier have had plenty of postseason success, both programs are now just one win away from reaching their first Final Fours. The Zags and Musketeers hold the record for most NCAA tournament wins, 27, without reaching the Final Four.

ICYMI: Underdogs were 2-1-1 ATS in Thursday night's Sweet 16 games w/ Oregon +1 and Xavier +7.5 pulling outright upsets. Kansas -5.5 over Purdue was the only favorite to cover while the push was Gonzaga -3 over West Virginia. Unders were 3-1 tonight. For the tournament, underdogs are 28-22-1 ATS (56 percent) w/ one game closing pick 'em while overs still lead 30-21-1 (58.8 percent).

The Jayhawks are scoring a whole lot of points in the NCAA tournament, but historically that hasn't translated into titles for very many teams. Only the 1989 Michigan Wolverines have gone on to win the championship after scoring 90 points or more in the first three games of the tournament.

With Xavier's 73-71 win over Arizona in the Sweet 16, the Musketeers become just the seventh 11th seed to reach the Elite 8. While three 11 seeds have reached the Final Four, none have gone on to win the national title.
