Late flagrant helps Arkansas down Seton Hall

Jaylen Barford hit the go-ahead layup with 57.8 seconds left to help Arkansas hold off Seton Hall 77-71 on Friday in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Dave Tuley ESPN Staff Writer

No. 8 Arkansas beats No. 9 Seton Hall 77-71, but the ViewFromVegas is that it was an upset as Seton Hall closed as a consensus 1-point favorite here in Las Vegas (7 of 13 sports book operators). After it was a back-and-forth battle throughout, Arkansas benefitted from a controversial Flagrant 1 foul call late in the game that helped the Razorbacks pull away. The extra two free throws also helped the game climb over the betting total of 147 points.
