Harrison Smith

Safety | Notre Dame

Time and time again, Miami's quarterbacks threw in Smith's direction during the first half of the Hyundai Sun Bowl on New Year's Eve. Time after time after time, Smith made the Hurricanes pay in the Fighting Irish's 33-17 rout in El Paso, Texas.

Smith, a senior from Knoxville, Tenn., intercepted passes on three consecutive drives in the second quarter, ending Miami scoring threats at the Notre Dame 30-, 46- and 26-yard line. He finished with seven tackles and tied a 42-year-old Sun Bowl record with his three interceptions.
