National powers Minnesota and Pittsburgh are tied, 7-7, in the fourth quarter. The Gophers are stalled, fourth-and-goal at the Panthers' 4. Glenn Seidel hands off to Stan Kostka, who runs into the line, turns and laterals to Pug Lund, who passes to Bob Tenner for the touchdown. Pittsburgh coach Jock Sutherland would call the 13-7 loss "the greatest game between the two greatest teams that ever played on the same field."
