Virginia Tech now has a 72.2 percent chance to win the Coastal Division after beating Pittsburgh on Thursday night. It also saw its chances to win the ACC championship climb slightly, up to 13 percent. North Carolina is the only other Coastal team with a legitimate shot at the division title, but its hopes took a hit with the Hokies' win. The Tar Heels saw their chance to win the division drop from 51.5 percent to 27.6 percent.

The most common phrase I hear from Pac-12 coaches on Washington is, "No weaknesses." But the emergence of two quarterbacks -- Utah's Troy Williams and USC's Sam Darnold -- will test Washington's fast and physical defense. Darnold has the big numbers but both are natural playmakers who won't be intimidated by Washington's line and secondary. Washington visits Utah on Saturday and hosts USC on Nov. 12.

ESPN 300 defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon has scheduled an official visit to Michigan for its game against Maryland on November 5. Solomon, the No. 62 ranked prospect, was committed to the Wolverines at one point, but decommitted to explore all his options. Georgia and Clemson are two other schools also in the mix for Solomon, but Michigan has been regaining ground as of late.

You don't see that every day

When the rest of the Pitt offensive line blocked left, tackle Ryan O'Neil snuck out to the right and took the end-around handoff into the end zone for the score. It was the second touchdown of the season for the 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman.

USC had 451 yards of offense in the first half against Cal. That's the most yards a Pac-12 team has registered in a half this season. The last time a Pac-12 team went for more: Cal vs Arizona State last year (458).

Darnold throws fourth TD pass of half

Sam Darnold hits Darreus Rogers from 20 yards out for Rogers' second touchdown catch of the night. The Trojans have a 28-10 lead over Cal at halftime.

When USC's Ronald Jones has 8 carries for 149 yards (18.6 per carry), Cal's hope lies in forcing turnovers.

USC 21, Cal 0 with 12:07 left in the 2nd quarter. Sam Darnold is 8/12 for 87 yards and 3 TDs. Ronald Jones II has 107 yards on 7 carries.

Adam Rittenberg ESPN Staff Writer

The quarterback switch is just part of the way Clay Helton is restoring USC's offense. Sam Darnold's mobility gives Helton flexibility and what he calls against what defenses. Cal can't stop the run, which is nothing new, but Helton is exploiting it with Ronald Jones II. It's all Trojans so far and USC is looking more like a team that will challenge Washington on Nov. 12.
