Players violated team policies

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Offensive guard Doug Bond, safety
Jeremy Nethon and defensive end William Bell were dismissed from
the Oklahoma State football team Monday, Cowboys coach Mike Gundy

In a news release, Gundy said the players were dismissed for
violating team policies, but he would not elaborate.

Bond, a 6-foot-2, 305-pound sophomore from Grand Prairie, Texas,
played in four games for the Cowboys. His only start came in
Oklahoma State's game against Iowa State.

Nethon, a 5-foot-9, 190-pound junior from Beggs, played in nine
games last season and made 10 tackles for the Cowboys. After
playing in all 13 games during his sophomore season, he emerged
from spring practice as the favorite to start at weak safety, but
the Cowboys instead moved Jamie Thompson from strong safety to take
the spot and Thompson led the team with 85 tackles.

Bell, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound freshman from Belton, Texas,
redshirted last year.
