Wyoming suspends Harris, Harrison for 3 games

LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Wyoming running backs Joe Harris and Ivan Harrison will sit out the first three games next season for
violating team rules, head coach Joe Glenn said Wednesday.

Further details about the decision were not disclosed by the
athletics department.

Harrison and Harris are seniors who both had knee injuries
heading into last season. Harrison played only one game last
season, rushing four times for 12 yards. Harris did not play at

Meanwhile, the team headed outside Wednesday for this spring's
first practice at War Memorial Stadium, which had been cleared of
snow. It was the Cowboys' second practice of spring training.

"It's a far more effective practice when we go outside," Glenn
said. "We can get so much more out of practice when we are in the
stadium. It felt great to be out there."

The workout was like Monday's opener, with work on fundamentals
and the team's offensive and defensive packages.
