Jagodzinski names two assistants

BOSTON -- Boston College named Jeff Comissiong and Ben Sirmans as assistant football coaches under new head coach Jeff Jagodzinski on Tuesday.

Comissiong will coach the defensive line, a job he held last season at Harvard. In the previous eight years, he was an assistant coach at Maine, the last four handling the defensive line.

Sirmans will handle the running backs. Last season, he coached running backs and special teams at Michigan State, where he was an assistant the past two years. He had spent the previous five seasons as running backs coach at Kent State.

Jagodzinski, the offensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers last season, was named head coach on Dec. 19. Twelve days earlier, Tom O'Brien left to become head coach at ACC-rival North Carolina State.
