Texas A&M starting senior defensive end Michael Bennett will be suspended for Saturday's game against Kansas State because of an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Coach Mike Sherman made the announcement Friday. The Aggies, who have struggled defensively, will have to adapt without their top producer along the defensive front.
Bennett led all lineman and ranked fourth on the team with 24 tackles, including 4½ tackles for losses and a sack. He also has two fumble recoveries.
Amos Gbunblee, a senior who has made one career start, will likely replace Bennett on Saturday against the Wildcats.
