Gophers hoped to land OL Henderson

Minnesota has filed a report to the NCAA in regards to the recruitment of in-state football recruit Seantrel Henderson, school spokesman Garry Bowman confirmed Wednesday.

Henderson, one of the top recruits in the nation this year, chose to play offensive tackle at USC.

Henderson delayed his signing until after national signing day because of concerns that USC is facing NCAA sanction.

When asked about NCAA penalties in the recruitment of Henderson, Gophers coach Tim Brewster said at Big Ten spring meetings this week that he believed they were "secondary" in nature.
