NEW YORK -- Prince Young ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns and Wagner scored 38 consecutive points in a 45-28 victory over Iona Saturday.
Wagner (1-1) took the lead Young's 11-yard run at 1:48 of the first quarter. The freshman had 19 carries.
Eric Ortiz kicked a 31-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.
Shane Smith, who led Wagner with 174 yards on 19 carries, added a 41-yard TD run at 8:18 of the third period.
Iona, led by quarterback Warren Smith, got back in the game by scoring three straight touchdowns.
Smith ran in from 11 yards at 2:41 of the third, hit Nick Groth for a 14-yard TD pass with 47 seconds left in the period and ran in again from 12 yards out at 3:45 of the fourth quarter to make it 38-28.
Young's finished the scoring with a 4-yard run with 58 seconds left.
