Deborah Crowder, one of the key figures in the UNC scandal in the Department of African and Afro-American Studies, arrives for the Committee on Infractions hearing with her attorney. Crowder is accused of unethical conduct for her role in setting up and grading paper classes that largely benefited student-athletes. She denies wrongdoing.

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen spoke publicly for the first time since training camp began, but chose not to discuss his interview published last week by Bleacher Report in which he questioned the relationship between academics and playing college football. Asked if he was surprised by any of the reaction to the interview, Rosen said: “No. I mean, Coach Mora kind of addressed the whole thing, but at this point I'm kind of just talking about camp.”

Texas offensive tackle Jean Delance announced Tuesday over Twitter that he is leaving the Longhorns and transferring. Delance was the No. 128 overall recruit in the Class of 2016. He played in two games last year, and was vying for a backup role this preseason.

Dabo Swinney says "there's no question" Kelly Bryant is atop Clemson's depth chart at the moment, and the junior has graded out the best of the Tigers' three QBs in camp. But Swinney adds that he's confident any of them could win games and he'll definitely want to get RSFr Zerrick Cooper and Fr Hunter Johnson reps in September since neither has game experience.
