In the last five quarters, Michigan has outgained opponents 800-50 in offensive yards. Wolverines are beating Illinois 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Lane Kiffin takes some heat for not featuring TE OJ Howard but he has today, with a quick pass to start the game and a shovel pass we haven't seen called before. Howard then had his number called on that TD pass, putting Bama up 13-0 on Texas A&M.

If you like trick plays, tune in to North Carolina-Virginia. First, Virginia scored on a fake field goal when Matt Johns hit Evan Butts for the 11-yard TD. On the next drive, North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky lined up wide, took the pitch and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Bug Howard.

Death Vader is dueling one of the 10 Stanford Trees with a lightsaber during the band's halftime show.

Missouri off to a poor start

Already down 7-0 to Middle Tennessee, Tigers QB Drew Lock fumbles on the Tigers' 26-yard line. Can the Blue Raiders capitalize on the short field?

ESPN Stats and Information

Utah returned the opening kickoff against UCLA for a touchdown. This is the third straight season the Utes have had a kick-return touchdown.

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Alabama ran for 96 yards in the first quarter and averaged 6.4 YPC in the process. Aggies have just 5 yards on seven carries. I'd say there's a pretty significant difference there

David Lombardi ESPN Staff Writer

Meanwhile, Colorado RB has carried eight times for 73 yards (9.1 per carry) in the first half, but the Buffs have only been able to score once.

E. Michigan ties it up with TD run

Eastern Michigan QB Brogan Roback keeps it for a 9-yard TD. We have MACtion in Kalamazoo. No. 20 Western Michigan is tied 7-7 with its in-state rival.

ESPN Stats and Information

Syracuse's Eric Dungey had a career-high 434 pass yards in today's win over Boston College, the second-most in school history (behind the 482 by Ryan Nassib against Northwestern in 2012). The 434 yards were the most by any player against BC since Florida State's EJ Manuel had 439 in 2012.

Brian Bennett ESPN Staff Writer

Lamar Jackson talks about his big passing day (355 yards, three TDs) against N.C. State.

David Lombardi ESPN Staff Writer

Stanford has scored only one offensive TD in each of its last four games, and the Cardinal have yet to reach the end zone at half against Colorado. At this point, it's fair to say that what was the Pac-12's leading offense last year is broken in 2016.

Kyle Bonagura ESPN Staff Writer

UCLA backup QB Mike Fafaul again started for the Bruins. Coach Jim Mora was hopeful earlier this week that Josh Rosen would play, but it was clear during pregame warm-ups that Fafaul would get his second start. Rosen suffered upper and lower-body injuries two weeks ago against Arizona State.

Ted Miller ESPN Staff Writer

View from office today. Weather will not be a factor in Oregon State's visit to Washington at 6:30 PM ET. On the downside for the Huskies is an injury to outside linebacker Joe Mathis. The Seattle Times reported the Huskies leader in sacks could be out for several weeks with an undisclosed injury. The Times said Mathis has been wearing a walking boot.

Alex Scarborough ESPN Staff Writer

Neither of Texas A&M's star defensive ends, Myles Garrett or Daeshon Hall, were on the field during that drive. Garrett has been banged up for a few weeks now and Hall was injured earlier in the game.

Single file line, please!

Michigan broke out of a unique formation to set up a Jake Butt touchdown. The Wolverines lead Illinois 14-0.

E. Michigan player rumbles and stumbles

An Eastern Michigan defender had the chance to scoop it up and score against No. 20 Western Michigan. He scooped it up but couldn't take it all the way.

ESPN Stats and Information

Alabama has had two goal-to-go drives today, and both ended with a field goal. Coming into the game, the Crimson Tide had scored a touchdown on 18 of 21 goal-to-go drives this season.

David Lombardi ESPN Staff Writer

After showing signs of life, Stanford's offense has reverted to absolute ineptitude. The Cardinal are liberally rotating quarterbacks mid-drive now. The problem there is that Keller Chryst's presence in the game automatically telegraphs a run, and an already-weak offensive line is further exposed on third-and-long.

No. 20 Broncos lead after awesome spin move

Western Michigan's Carrington Thompson catches a pass and spins around an Eastern Michigan defender before scoring a 32-yard TD. The unbeaten Broncos lead 7-0.

Mitch Sherman ESPN Staff Writer

"It's hard," Texas quarterback Shane Buechele said, "just to see things you could have done." The Longhorns had plenty of chances today at Kansas State, losing 24-21, but the outcome was no different than in its other three road games this year. The loss puts Texas under .500 for the first time this season, an all too familiar spot in this third season under coach Charlie Strong.

West Virginia goes up two scores

QB Skyler Howard passes to Shelton Gibson for a 22-yard TD. No. 12 West Virginia leads TCU 14-0 in the first quarter.

Alex Scarborough ESPN Staff Writer

Another FG gives Alabama the 6-0 lead over Texas A&M. Tide LT Cam Robinson, who hasn't played up to expectations early this year, has been superb keeping Aggie star DE Myles Garrett in check.
