Washington's win was the first time this decade that Stanford or Oregon lost to another Pac-12 North team (other than themselves) by more than one score. In fact, the Cardinal and Ducks were 48-2 against the rest of the Pac-12 North this decade before the Huskies' win. We are finally witnessing a transfer in the balance of power in that division.

A group of students expected to grow to more than 200 is planning to sit through the national anthem at Florida State. Marvel Joseph, one of the organizers, said he wants to continue the conversation surrounding injustices in America and thanked Colin Kaepernick for inspiring him. "He took his platform to a whole other level. He doesn't have to do it, so I want to use my platform and take stand and sit with him." The group will raise their fists at the end of the anthem. They did not talk to any football players about joining.

Northwestern is playing like a completely different team in Iowa City today. Good use of tempo by the Wildcats to help jump start an offense that has struggled most of the year. Iowa hasn't looked right since halftime of the North Dakota State game two weeks ago.

Maryland has an opportunity to open the season 4-0 for only the second time since 2001 when it plays host to Purdue today. The Terps offense has been excellent so far, ranking third in the Big Ten in scoring (41.0 points per game) and second in rushing. This is an important game for both head coaches. Maryland's DJ Durkin can keep momentum rolling in his first season. Purdue's Darrell Hazell is 2-22 in Big Ten games and has yet to win more than one in a season. If the Boilermakers win, they'll be 3-1 overall this season and have visions of reaching a bowl game.

Vandy has pulled to within four points of the Gators, 10-6 with 2:54 left in the third quarter.
