Clemson's $55 million future football operations center, set to open Jan. 26, includes a 26,000-foot weight room, which will occupy this space. Other highlights include an outdoor recreation area featuring a whiffle ball area and a football-shaped field, a 24-seat movie theater, a barber shop and a 47-degree pool that will take the place of cold tubs and fit up to 60 players.

Clemson AD Dan Radakovich on the ACC's rise the past few seasons: "If there's three teams in that one tier, there's a couple that are really knocking on the door. Certainly Miami and North Carolina are having outstanding years, as is Virginia Tech. ... We had to ramp up the football piece of it. It was discussed, it was, 'How are we going to do this? Let's continue to challenge ourselves with an out-of-conference schedule that's been really, really good. And once you're in that, you've gotta win those games. That's when a little bit of the credibility will come forward.' We've remained in the conversation, which is I think the most important piece."

Wisconsin officials confirmed an ESPN report that linebacker Vince Biegel will miss several weeks after having foot surgery Thursday night. "I really hate any time a player has to miss time due to an injury, especially a senior like Vince," Badgers coach Paul Chryst said in a release. "Vince has such a passion for football and loves playing the game. ... What you appreciate is that you know he will do everything in his power to get back on the field as soon as possible." Biegel, who has started 32 games, is considered one of the top outside linebackers in the Big Ten.

Any Clemson fans out there looking for a vintage tailgating vehicle? You won't find one better than this. One of the other RV owners tells me it used to belong to a Clemson player.

Add one more injury for Ohio State coming out of its bye week to the list: Backup offensive lineman Demetrius Knox is out for eight weeks after having surgery for a broken foot on Friday morning. Knox hasn't been a major factor yet for the Buckeyes, but this could be another test of the depth of the roster at a position that doesn't boast much experience.

As Stanford deals with injuries in its secondary, a key number for the Cardinal defense tonight is 4. Washington QB Jake Browning is 10-1 when sacked three or fewer times and 1-4 when sacked 4 or more times. The lone win came last week at Arizona, which sacked Browning four times. Stanford recorded 7 sacks in its opener against Kansas State.

One of the nation's top 2018 prospects is scheduled to take an unofficial visit to TCU Saturday for the Horned Frogs' game against Oklahoma. Terrace Marshall of Bossier City (Louisiana) Parkway will be in Fort Worth for the game, and the 6-foot-3, 189-pound 2018 prospect ranks as the third-best junior receiver. He's also the top underclass prospect in Louisiana and the No. 28 player in the country, so his visit is a key one for TCU. Marshall has a long list of national offers, including Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU and others.
