Incredible performance by TCU's defense in Lubbock, as the Horned Frogs won big despite playing without several starters, including QB Kenny Hill. The Frogs held Texas Tech to 4.3 yards per pass and forced two turnovers.

Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald now has six games with 100-plus yards both passing and rushing. Only Louisville's Lamar Jackson has more such games. Jackson has seven such games entering his game today.

The Big 12 title game picture is clearing up. Oklahoma can clinch a spot with a win today at Kansas. TCU can clinch with a win next weekend over Baylor. Oklahoma State will need to win out, then root for a Baylor upset of TCU.

At halftime, Travis Homer had 5 rushing yards for Miami. After a huge fourth quarter, Homer has 96 total yards and one touchdown to seal the come-from-behind win for the undefeated Hurricanes.

Miami QB Malik Rosier told me that the biggest thing he learned from coach Mark Richt was to "not be Superman on every play." He was trying too hard to make every play at quarterback but Richt told him to be himself. Rosier is just a tough player. Not a lot of flash but he wills himself and his teammates in clutch situations.

Miami had such difficulty running the ball through the first three quarters in the game, the Hurricanes got their breakthrough late in the fourth quarter. Travis Homer and Malik Rosier came up big on the ground to extend Miami's lead.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Miami defensive end Trent Harris came up with a huge sack on Kurt Benkert on a crucial fourth down late in the fourth quarter -- his team-high eighth this season. Consider, Harris had a combined 6 1/2 sacks in his previous three seasons at Miami.

Texas linebacker Brecklyn Hager ejected for targeting early in the fourth quarter after a hit he delivered to West Virginia quarterback Chris Chugunov. That means Hager will miss the first half of the Longhorns' game against Texas Tech next week.

As poorly as Miami has played for vast stretches against Virginia, the Canes have the lead going into the fourth quarter. It should also be noted that Miami has gotten to this point in the season as a fourth-quarter team.

The perpetually plucky Alex Hornibrook completes two passes for 75 yards on Wisconsin's touchdown drive. Otherwise, he's 6 of 13 for 36 yards with an interception.
