Oregon OL coach Steve Greatwood said today that left tackle Tyrell Crosby is day-to-day with a foot injury. However, from what I've heard, Crosby should start this weekend as he has been taking most of the first team reps this week. Good for Ducks, who have three redshirt freshmen starting on the O-line (and Crosby's back up is a RS frogs).

Michigan assistant Greg Mattison says he's got "eight for sure" that will rotate through the defensive line this weekend.

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops with some high praise for Southern Miss QB Nick Mullens, who threw for a school record 4,476 yards and 38 passing touchdowns last year. Stoops said he'll be one of the best QBs the Wildcats see this season. "We'll face some very talented quarterbacks, that's for sure, but I have great respect for this kid. He is very good, very poised, you can tell he has great vision. He's seen everything. What I've been very impressed with is how accurate he is and how beautiful he throws the deep ball. He just drops it in there in some tight windows. He's been very impressive, so we'll have our hands full with him."

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp not saying much about former Auburn head coach Pat Dye's comments on a recent radio show about last year's Auburn staff not liking each other. "If I haven't seen [the comments] I'm not going to comment on anything." Muschamp, who was Auburn's defensive coordinator last year, said he had a great working relationship on the defensive said of the ball last year.

Tennessee coach Butch Jones said that the Vols will get a big special teams weapon back for tomorrow's game against Appalachian State, as safety "Evan Berry is 100 percent." Jones said Berry, who returned three kickoffs for TDs last season, will start at kick returner for the Vols. Berry dealt with an unspecified injury during fall camp and is also competing for a starting safety spot.

Florida coach Jim McElwain said earlier today that the research and outcome from the university involving WR Antonio Callaway's sexual assault case led him to start Callaway this weekend against UMASS. McElwain added that freshmen WRs Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells, who were suspended for the opener after being arrested for criminal mischief and for shooting BB guns at a UF residence hall this summer, are "dealing with some personal choice issues, and we'll play that as we go."
