A proposal was tabled at the NCAA convention that would limit the number of football staffers allowed to participate in on-campus recruiting. It called for every school to designate a maximum of 30 people on a football staff who would be permitted to talk to recruits while they were on campus. That group of 30 would include full-time coaches and graduate assistants. The Football Oversight Committee this week asked the Division I Council for more time to structure legislation in this area that will best support recruits and the schools.
