Ohio State is in the cushy, confidence-boosting portion of its schedule, and it has capitalized today. Building consistency in the passing game continues to be the top priority, and the Buckeyes have received big days from QBs J.T. Barrett (209 pass yards, 5 TDs) and Dwayne Haskins (133 pass yards 2 TDs). Best of all, seven different players have touchdown receptions.

Alabama, which was down five linebackers last week, expects to get three of those back Saturday against Vanderbilt. Rashaan Evans, Anfernee Jennings and Dylan Moses all went through pre-game warmups and are expected to play. Evans (groin) and Jennings (ankle) haven't played since being injured in the opener against Florida State.

Statement from the SEC office about the missed call on the Kellen Mond would-be touchdown that wasn't: "On the play at 10:02 in the second quarter of the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas game, the ball carrier was incorrectly ruled out of bounds and the play was whistled dead by the official. Based on the NCAA football playing rule 12-3-3-g, "If the ball carrier is ruled out of bounds, the play is not reviewable."

Florida State's last five drives have gone into the NC State red zone. But the Seminoles only have one touchdown to show for it.

Florida State lost two key players against NC State - linebacker Matthew Thomas won't return in the second half with what is reportedly a back injury. Receiver Auden Tate left the field clutching his left arm after a beautiful 51-yard reception in the third quarter.

Dave Doeren just took icing the kicker to a new level. Doeren called not one, not two, but all three timeouts before Ricky Aguayo attempted a 37-yard field goal. Didn't work. Aguayo made it, and Florida State closed the gap to 17-10 before the half.

Arkansas' defense came into Saturday's game as one of only four in the FBS to allow three or fewer 20-plus-yard plays this season. Texas A&M has three such plays in less than two quarters at AT&T Stadium.

Jakobi Meyers started his NC State career as a quarterback and was in competition with Ryan Finley for the starting job last year before moving to receiver. You can see why coaches raved about his athleticism on that 71-yard touchdown catch ... and front-flip celebration that earned him a flag.

Florida State had its share of special teams issues in the opener against Alabama, and a few have cropped up again today. Ricky Aguayo missed a 30-yard field goal that would have tied the game.

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond ran for what appeared to be an 89-yard touchdown run in the second quarter but the score was disallowed because an official blew the play dead at the 10, believing Mond had stepped out of bounds when Arkansas safety Josh Liddell caught him. Replay showed Mond did not step out of bounds but because the play was whistled dead, it is not reviewable. The Aggies had to settle for a field goal on the drive.

James Blackman was trying to make a play on a scramble when he fumbled, costing the Seminoles an opportunity on another good looking drive.

The Boilermaker Special is a replica of a Victorian era steam engine, and is the official mascot of Purdue athletics. The train leads the football team from the team hotel to the stadium on game day. We will be riding along on the train to show you the route first hand.

Go back to that fourth-down conversion when Jimbo Fisher called for James Blackman to pass for the first down. That had to give the true freshman a huge lift of confidence. He threw that touchdown pass on third down, too.

Ivan Maisel ESPN Senior Writer

That's 61:17 between points for Florida State -- a full game plus a few plays. It took James Blackman three drives to settle down against N.C. State but he just moved the Noles 75 yards in 12 plays.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Florida State went for it on a far riskier fourth down play and perhaps more surprising -- James Blackman passed for the first down after Cam Akers showcased his ability early in the drive.

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

Arkansas unveiled its own version of the "Belldozer" in the first quarter vs. Texas A&M, running 6-7, 268-pound quarterback Cole Kelley on a pair of draw plays. The first went for 13 yards.
