Dave Doeren clarifies comments on the play that injured Clemson RB Wayne Gallman: "We have a lot of respect for Wayne Gallman, he's a really good football player. My comments came in response to a question about what we did well in the game, how physical we were, that we stopped the run. It had nothing to do with being excited about injuring another player. I feel like a lot of that was taken he wrong way. That's not something we prioritize ever is injuring somebody. But we are a physical team that takes pride in playing a physical way. That play was not a penalty. I'd like to remind people of that. They did review the play. The had the opportunity to buzz it upstairs, and they didn't do that. It's a physical football game. I'm glad Wayne is back and healthy and we wish him nothing but the best."

Coach Larry Fedora said this about their performance last week, "We got the job done. I thought the kids overcame the adversity that was created by that situation. What you're lacking is constituency and continuity and those things always make it hard on you. Hopefully we'll be healthier as we go the rest of the season."

Though coach Bronco Mendenhall wasn't a part of those games, he's heard his players discuss the success they've had against the Cards going into their game Saturday. "I was not a part of it, but to the players it's real," Mendenhall said. "I will do everything I can to build the momentum off that."
