Breezy, warm and, dare I say, a stormy feel in the air as No. 9 Oklahoma visits Kansas State. The Wildcats say through a long lightning delay last week before falling here to TCU.

Miami fans packed in the Canes Walk to greet the team on arrival.

The Northwestern University Marching Band plays tribute to their late coach, Ara Parseghian. Parseghian's playing and coaching careers earned him a place in the College Football Hall of Fame.

ESPN Stats and Information

Jonathan Taylor passed the 1,000 rush yard mark on the season in the first quarter Saturday against Maryland. Taylor needed only seven games to reach the mark, which is tied for the fewest by a freshmen in FBS history.

No. 10 Oklahoma State moved the ball much better than Texas in the first half (15 first downs to 7) but is tied with the Longhorns 7-7 at the midpoint thanks in part to an empty red zone trip (a fumble that later resulted in a Texas touchdown).

Third Saturday in October always draws a crowd ... even when Alabama is a 5-TD favorite over Tennessee.

BC jumps out to a 17-0 lead on Virginia. It's the largest deficit of the season for the Cavaliers.

Joshua Kaindoh delivers a huge hit on Lamar Jackson, and Matthew Thomas scoops up the fumble for a TD. That's Jackson's third lost fumble this year.

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

Was he in or out? Texas receiver John Burt tightrope-walked the sideline on a 90-yard reception and it was difficult to tell on replay whether or not he stepped out of bounds. The Longhorns snapped the ball before a replay review could be called for and QB Sam Ehlinger scored on the next play. That could wind up being a key sequence if this game is close late.

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

Texas defensive tackle Poona Ford has been disruptive early on, getting penetration on Oklahoma State's interior defensive line. He forced a key fumble early in the second quarter of that killed a potential Cowboy scoring drive and turned into 7 Longhorns' points.

Darrin Hall's 79-yard TD run for Pitt is more rush yards on 1 play than all but 1 full game vs P5 opp by a Panthers RB this year.

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

After having three different offensive line combinations in the previous three games, Texas finally is finding a consistent group with the same unit starting today vs. Oklahoma State that did last week vs. Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State sophomore Johnny Wilson is making his second consecutive start at center today in place of Brad Lundblade. Lundblade, who started 31 consecutive games entering October, missed last week's game vs. Baylor.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

Should Oklahoma State beat Texas today, it would have a 26% chance to win the Big 12. And while Texas is a long shot, the Longhorns aren't totally out of it either. With a win, their chances of winning the conference would go up from 4% to 9%.

The University of Texas Longhorn Band makes its way toward DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium for today's game between the Longhorns and No. 10 Oklahoma State.

Plenty of orange around DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium today (both from Longhorn fans and Oklahoma State fans) and ... a random Florida Gator fan in blue and orange.

Iowa will be without star linebacker Josey Jewell for its game against Northwestern Saturday. Jewell injured his shoulder in the game against Illinois on October 7, and, despite the bye week, is still dealing with soreness. Jewell has 68 total tackles on the season with 2.5 sacks for the Hawkeyes defense.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

Oklahoma has an 80% chance to beat Kansas State today, but if the Sooners lose, their chance to win the Big 12 would drop to 21% and their chance to finish the season with a top-four Strength of Record would fall from 34% right now to 12%.

Louisville will be without CB Jaire Alexander against Florida State today, after the junior aggravated a knee injury in practice this week. Alexander did not travel with the team to FSU.

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

Plenty of Texas fans tailgating just outside DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium prior to the Longhorns hosting No. 10 Oklahoma State.
