Urban Meyer said today in his press conference that the rivalry game against Michigan is not a "one week deal." Rather that he and his coaches have been preparing for this game all year. "We're not just starting our film study for the week," Meyer said. "That's been going on for a long time." When asked a similar question, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh stated that he and his staff have done much of the same because of the magnitude that this rivalry brings.

It was easy to overlook Alabama's 56-0 beatdown of Mercer last Saturday, but it was an important game in terms of Dylan Moses gaining valuable experience as he takes over at inside linebacker for Shaun Dion Hamilton, who suffered a season-ending injury three weeks ago. The true freshman led the team with 11 tackles. "I think he did a good job," Saban said of Moses. "I really do. He was well prepared and played with confidence. ... He made a lot of plays in the game and played fast and hopefully that will carry over."
