Devin Duvernay ran straight past Duke Shelley for an 80-yard touchdown catch from Shane Buechele. That could not have looked easier for Texas, which has cut Kansas State's lead in half at 14-7 with four minutes left in the first half.

Two and a half hours until kickoff, fans line up for the Walk of Champions in Tuscaloosa. A huge top-10 matchup between Alabama and Texas A&M will go a long way in deciding who wins the SEC West.

Miami (OH) WR makes great 1-handed catch

James Gardner submitted an early catch of the day candidate when he snared a pass with just his left hand while falling out of bounds.

Ervin Phillips shows great balance in making a 3-yard TD catch to give Syracuse an early 7-3 lead at BC. The game has not been without its drama, as 3 personal fouls were assessed after a near-brawl on the Syracuse sideline upon a William Harris interception. In the middle of it all was Orange QB Eric Dungey.

Badgers reach for lead over Hawkeyes

Wisconsin's Troy Fumagalli catches the pass and stretches the ball across the goal line for a 17-yard TD. No. 10 Wisconsin leads Iowa 7-0.

Tempers flare in Syracuse-Boston College

After Boston College came up with an interception and a long return, the two teams got into it after the play on the sideline.

In its three losses this year, Texas has scored 114 points. Today in Manhattan, the Longhorns appear to be in for a struggle to get much more than 114 yards after K-State linebacker Charmeachealle Moore stuffs D'Onta Foreman for a loss on third and 1 to end Texas' second drive.

Jackson throws 74-yard TD with ease

QB Lamar Jackson throws up the middle to Jaylen Smith for a 74-yard TD. No. 7 Louisville leads NC State 17-0 on ABC.

Texas' defense is regressing again. The Longhorns have no answer for Kansas State's Jesse Ertz early on in Manhattan. The biggest critique opposing coaches of Texas is positioning and fundamentals. The Longhorns are talented enough to make plays but aren't in the right place often enough.

Kansas strikes first against OK State

Kansas QB Montell Cozart finds a wide open LaQuvionte Gonzalez for a 68-yard touchdown, giving the Jayhawks the early lead over Oklahoma State.

Leidner gives Gophers big lead

QB Mitch Leidner, who returned this week from concussion symptoms, put Minnesota up 21-3 over Rutgers with this 3-yard TD run.

N.C. State nearly toppled Clemson on the road last week, but the Wolfpack might not have much left in the tank after that one. They trail Louisville 17-0 after less than 10 minutes of action and have minus-4 yards of offense to this point. Lamar Jackson has two more touchdowns, giving him 32 on the season and one away from a school record.

The first quarter in Manhattan featured nine Kansas State first downs and just 3:28 of offense for Texas. The Wildcats lead 7-0 and, of course, possess the ball to start the second quarter. QB Jesse Ertz has stayed primarily out of danger. Whatever plan Bill Snyder drew up before the game, it could not have looked much different than this.

Pack can't take advantage of turnover

Louisville's James Quick fumbles, and it's recovered by NC State's Josh Jones in Cardinals territory. The Wolfpack, however, went three-and-out and trail 10-0 on ABC.

Gopher runs through Rutgers defenders

Rodney Smith powers through for a 6-yard TD run to give Minnesota a 14-3 lead over Rutgers late in the first quarter on ESPNU.

Brian Bennett ESPN Staff Writer

Northwestern's stunning offensive turnaround continues, as the Wildcats have put two quick touchdowns on the board against Indiana. Pat Fitzgerald's team scored 92 points combined in back-to-back road games at Iowa and Michigan State. The wide receivers are catching everything and the offensive line has come together after a shaky start to the season. Wildcats still could be a factor in Big Ten West.

Kansas State strikes first against Texas

QB Jesse Ertz fakes the pitch and keeps it for a 6-yard TD run. Kansas State leads Texas 7-0 in the first quarter on ESPN2.

Harry and Linda Grandin bring their 1977 Volkswagen Transporter to every West Virginia home game. Harry bought the van in Temple, Texas, in 1982, and drove it for years, racking up 240,000 miles. After moving back to West Virginia, Harry and his daughter decorated the van with clip art and "Beat Pitt" stickers. A West Virginia native and 1974 WVU graduate, Harry keeps the van garaged for most of the year but drives it to Morgantown to the tailgating spot just north of Milan Puskar Stadium. The license plate: WV Bus.

Lamar Jackson wastes no time to score

Louisville's Heisman frontrunner ran for a 36-yard TD in the Cards' opening drive against NC State. It's Jackson's FBS-leading 31st total TD of the season.

Gophers leap into end zone on first drive

Shannon Brooks leaps over the goal line for a 1-yard TD run. After the 10-play drive, Minnesota leads Rutgers 7-0 on ESPNU.
