USF and UCF have put together a game for the ages, a back-and-forth fitting for such an intense rivalry between two of the best Group of 5 teams in the country.

USF and UCF are playing a helluva football game on ABC right now. Quinton Flowers is a baller.

So much about Arkansas' next step, at least initially, hinges on the Iron Bowl. If Auburn loses, expect Arkansas to make a major push to bring Gus Malzahn home. If Auburn wins, Malzahn almost surely isn't going anywhere and you'll hear names like Memphis' Mike Norvell (Central Arkansas grad), Washington State's Mike Leach, Troy's Neal Brown and SMU's Chad Morris.

Bret Bielema bet on himself after leaving Wisconsin in the wake of a third consecutive Big Ten championship. He wanted to coach in the best division in the best conference, but couldn't come close to replicating the same success at Arkansas. Bielema was fired after posting a 1-7 mark in SEC play this season, dropping his league record to 11-29 with the Hogs. Things went downhill late last season and never got on track this fall.

Dredrick Snelson caught his second touchdown pass of the game, getting completely behind the USF secondary to give UCF the lead back in what has been a wild offensive back-and-forth.

A 28-point third quarter (and still going) gives Iowa a 42-14 lead in Lincoln. A few thousand Nebraska fans are leaving Memorial Stadium, but others appear intent to stand their ground in the face of repeated embarrassment and usher this brutal season to an end in person. Yes, it's ugly enough that Bill Moos may just want to pull the plug tonight.

Going into the season, all the media buzz surrounded USF quarterback Quinton Flowers. He's showing exactly why against UCF with an all-out performance that has been difficult for the Knights' defense to stop. He's up to 459 total yards and four touchdowns.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Quinton Flowers has given the UCF defense all sorts of problems, over 400 yards of total offense now and with the ball back after the Bulls' defense forced a turnover. Perhaps momentum is swinging to USF.

Fantastic start to the second half for Iowa, which scored twice in seven plays and forced a Nebraska punt. The Hawkeyes have doubled up, 28-14, on the Huskers, who may not have anything left in the tank after this quick third-quarter strike in the season finale.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

McKenzie Milton has made some big-time throws throughout the season, and his touchdown pass to Gabriel Davis to extend the UCF lead was another beauty to add to his list.

Ran into these Columbus residents in Ann Arbor today. Said one of them: "We call this place ‘Ohio State North.' We've won so much here." Sounds like some rivalry-week fighting words. For the record, Ohio State is 22-25-3 all-time at Michigan, but has won six of the last eight at The Big House.

UCF raced out to a quick 21 points but didn't score in the second quarter against USF. It's just the third time this season the Knights haven't scored in a quarter. Meanwhile, Quinton Flowers has 348 yards passing in the first half -- the most UCF has given up to anyone this season.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

UCF came into its game against USF with one of the top defenses in the conference, allowing just 374 yards per game. The Bulls already have topped that number, and they've done it almost exclusively through the air.

Pitt knocked off No. 2 Miami 24-14 on Friday, in what was the highest ranked opponent Pitt has ever beat at home. After the game, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi said, "There is a lot of celebrating going on in that locker room. I talked about the past and the big upset win at West Virginia. It happened in Clemson last year. I told the players it's about time it happened in Pittsburgh."

Stanley Morgan's second touchdown of the day goes for 28 yards -- and that's a record breaker. Morgan, with three catches for 55 yards, has 967 receiving yards this season to break Johnny Rodgers' Nebraska record of 942 set in 1972 en route to the Heisman Trophy.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

USF receiver Tyre McCants already has 201 yards receiving through one and a half quarters -- that sets a new school single-game record. Quarterback Quinton Flowers is also over 300 yards passing, yet USF only has 13 points.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

UCF and USF already have put on a show in front of a national audience, showing exactly why both these teams have been so fun to watch this season. McKenzie Milton and Quinton Flowers rank among the most underrated players in the country.

Mitch Sherman ESPN Staff Writer

Iowa's answer to a 1-yard kickoff return, naturally, was a 99-yard drive. Akrum Wadley capped the 15-play march with a 20-yard scoring run. That's the Hawkeyes' fourth touchdown drive of 90 yards or more this season. Tied 7-7 with Nebraska.
