ESPN Junior 300 running back Ricky Slade was one of many prospects visiting Penn State on Saturday for its big win against Ohio State. Slade, the No. 27 ranked prospect in 2018, said the game and experience was something he hasn't yet seen on other visits. "It was the best atmosphere I've been in," Slade said. "It did help (Penn State) because it showed that they are making progress."

Some questioned whether Craig Bohl could make the transition to the FBS from FCS power North Dakota State. After going 6-18 in his first two seasons at Wyoming, Bohl has the Pokes at 5-2 and 3-0 in the Mountain West, their best start since joining the conference.

How unlikely was the way Penn State beat Ohio State on Saturday night? According to ESPN stats & information, Penn State had been the only Power 5 team without a special teams touchdown over the last four seasons until the blocked field goal and return by Grant Haley. Other than offensive line, special teams took the biggest hit from the scholarship penalties so this is a good sign for Penn State's future.

By my count, there were at least 8 new FBS records, 9 Big 12 records and 13 school records in the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game tonight. And I'm probably missing a few. One of the craziest FBS records tonight that might never be broken: Patrick Mahomes accounting for 100 total plays (88 passing, 12 rushing).

Ohio State lost despite allowing only 13 first downs, 276 total yards and 2-of-13 third down conversions. Penn State beat Ohio State despite a quarterback (Trace McSorley) who completed only 8-of-23 pass attempts and only 22:41 of possession time.

Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes II on his record-breaking night: "Definitely could've done better. A lot of throws I underthrew, overthrew. ... it wasn't good enough."

Leonard Fournette says his preseason ankle injury "never really healed" when he tried to play the first month of the season. But after a layoff of nearly a month, he went off for 284 yards in LSU's 38-21 win over Ole Miss on Saturday. Here Fournette discusses his performance and how he hates being compared to teammate Derrius Guice.

Washington State held off a furious fourth-quarter rally from Arizona State, winning 37-32, to stay perfect in Pac-12 play. The Cougars are 4-0 in league play for the first time since 2003 and are tied with Washington atop the Pac-12 North standings. They travel to Oregon State next weekend. ASU heads to Oregon next week, but the status of quarterback Manny Wilkins remains unknown after he left in the first quarter with an undisclosed injury.

This is what the Auburn campus looks like following a 56-3 win over Arkansas. Yeah, there's toilet paper everywhere.
