ESPN 300 cornerback Josh Jobe announced he is flipping his commitment from Miami to Alabama on Saturday. Jobe, the No. 117 ranked prospect out of Miami, Florida, tweeted that the decision was what is best for him and his future. The flip doesn't come as a surprise as many believed the Tide would eventually land the 6-foot prospect and now gives Alabama 11 ESPN 300 commitments in the 2018 class.

"There was no doubt in my mind that Rob Likens was the man we needed to step up and fill this role as offensive coordinator," coach Herm Edwards said in a statement. Nick Saban on the early signing period: "I didn't like it when we did it. I don't like it now. ... I don't see how it benefits anybody." He said it's stressful with bowl prep going on and he sees players being pressured to sign early before a "bigger school" offers. "Maybe I shouldn't be speaking like this, but I haven't talked to a coach who's happy with it," he said. "... But we're dealing with it. It is what it is."
