Mark Richt was high on freshman OG Navaughn Donaldson (6-6, 345), who's been working with first team offense during first week of spring ball. But Richt sounded even more enthusiastic about the guys on the line arriving this summer, highlighted by tackle Kai-Leon Herbert, who's now pushing 300 lbs. "Freshmen are definitely going to make an impact" on the line, Richt said.

A lot of championships to discuss between these two guys in the center of Ohio State's Pro Day: Urban Meyer and New England's Bill Belichick. The two have long had a mutual professional admiration, and it's no surprise to see the leader of the Patriots taking a close look at the Buckeyes.

Miami players were asked about National Championship aspirations, a thought that makes Mark Richt uncomfortable. "I'm not going to put a limit on what can happen," he said, "but I'm not making any bold predictions either."

Florida DL Khairi Clark thinks the offense is moving faster this spring, while WR Josh Hammond said there's increased confidence from the offense this spring in large part because the freshmen quarterbacks are utilizing deep passes more. "Having quarterbacks that aren't afraid to sling it really helps the receivers."

One thing Florida safety Nick Washington is excited about is how the freshmen QBs aren't afraid to go down field with the football. He's noticed that Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask are taking full advantage of their arm strength. "They've been throwing big bombs. They will throw the deep ball … they're not afraid to let it loose. It's exciting to know they're willing to go for the big play."

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Florida's Kyle Trask was a three-star backup QB prospect with offers from Houston Baptist, which he considered "a dream come true", McNeese State and Lamar. Then Florida came calling. Now, he's competing with four-star ESPN 300 QB Feleipe Franks to restore Florida's proud quarterback tradition. "There hasn't been – and I'm not trying to put anybody down – a solid quarterback [at Florida] since the [Tim] Tebow era," Trask said.

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Florida quarterbacks Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask both think the starting QB battle can be resolved by the end of the spring. Franks thinks it's better for the team if it's decided sooner rather than later. "It's important that one of us step up, take charge and act like [the starting position] is theirs. The guys don't want to go through all of fall can't being indecisive of who to follow."

Washington continues to load up on the offensive side of the ball in the 2018 class as the Huskies landed a commitment from quarterback Colson Yankoff, the second ESPN Junior 300 signal-caller to commit to Washington, joining No. 16 overall prospect Jacob Sirmon. Yankoff, the nation's No. 295 overall prospect and No. 16 pocket passer, originally committed to Oregon but pulled back from that following the coaching change from Mark Helfrich to Willie Taggart. Washington's fifth ESPN Junior 300 commitment -- including two quarterbacks and three receivers -- ties it with USC for the most in the Pac-12.
