No Jesse Ertz in warmups for Kansas State ahead of kickoff against No. 9 Oklahoma, apparently leaving backup QB Alex Delton again to contend with a ranked visitor. Ertz did not play last week in the Wildcats' 26-6 loss home to TCU.

In 10 years, Lincoln Riley will be half the age of Bill Snyder. Today, they're matching wits as the youngest and oldest head coaches in the FBS.

Miami's defensive front in the early going has created problems for Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey, who is 1-for-7 to start the game. The Hurricanes already have three quarterback hurries and three tackles for loss.

Alabama opens with a methodical 12-play, 63-yard TD drive in 5:35, the Tide's longest opening drive (by plays and time) this season. Message to Tennessee: this will be a physical slog.

After Saturday's loss to Louisville, Florida State falls to 0-3 at home. It's the first time they started a season 0-3 at home since 1974. Overall in 2017, they are 2-4 - which is the worst start to a season by a preseason AP-Top 3 team since Pittsburgh started 1-5 in 1984.

How's this for a jumbo package: 6-foot-4, 285-pound Quinnen Williams and 6-foot-2, 308-pound Daron Payne as lead blockers for 6-foot-2, 235-pound Bo Scarbrough. The result is Scarbrough over the top for a 1-yard TD on fourth-and-goal.

Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack is well aware that coach Dino Babers' national profile grew after last week's win over Clemson. "When you have success, that's going to happen," Wildhack told me. "It's speculation. No jobs are open yet ... but part of that is the work that hopefully I've done since the day I arrived to let him know how committed I am and the university is and the board is to provide him the resources to compete. If we do that, my goal is for him to be our coach for a long, long time to come. He knows that, and others know that."

Despite an ugly offensive performance, No. 10 Oklahoma State keeps their Big 12 championship game and College Football Playoff hopes alive with a 13-10 overtime win at Texas. Defensive back Ramon Richards intercepted an errant Sam Ehlinger pass in overtime to seal the victory, a game in which the Cowboys scored just one touchdown and went 12 consecutive drives without a touchdown.

Another huge win today for Boston College coach Steve Addazio, whose seat is cooling off fast after a 1-3 start. The Eagles have won three of their last four, including road wins over Louisville and Virginia the last two weeks. The offense has finally come alive with 86 points the past two weeks. BC's schedule doesn't let up but Addazio likely has shown enough to impress first-year athletic director Martin Jarmond.

Revised kickoff time is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. ET in Manhattan between No. 9 Oklahoma and Kansas State. Severe weather has cleared the area.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Boston College has been so impressive in back-to-back wins over Louisville and Virginia it achieved a program first: The Eagles have scored 40 or more points in consecutive ACC games for the first time ever.

Oklahoma State and Texas heading to overtime. The Longhorns are the only FBS team to play multiple overtime games this season, according to ESPN Stats and Information. The Longhorns are 1-1 in overtime, losing 27-24 at USC and defeating Kansas State 40-34 at home two weeks ago.

Miami replaced its grass after the rain left it a mess last week. But more rain pregame had the grounds crew filling divots on the field before the game even started.

Texas has 40 rushing yards on 30 carries so far today, a big reason the Longhorns have struggled offensively and a consistent theme this season. Chris Warren leads the team with 33 yards on 12 carries.

Kansas State and Oklahoma have been sent to their locker rooms in Manhattan because of severe weather in the area.
